Why do I get "403 Forbidden" error on my browser?
17 August 2012 05:10 AM

The "403 Forbidden" error can be caused by the following reasons:

  • Directory browsing is disabled and you're trying to access the root folder without entering the exact file path in the URL, e.g. "http://accountname.fileburst.com". If you want to see a directory listing of your files, you can turn on directory browsing from the "Control Panel - Settings" menu)
  • The folder is protected by password and you entered a wrong password
  • Your machine's IP address is blocked by our firewall. Submit a support ticket along with your IP address (get it from www.whatismyip.com) and we will unblock it.
